The Luxury Skin Shop is proud to carry the soaps of L'Amande, a company with hundreds of years of experience in crafting some of the finest skin care products in the world.
Founded in Marseille, France during first half of the 18th century, L'Amande migrated to the warmer climes of Savona, Italy to embrace the culture of Mediterranean soap-making. L'Amande products are still created with the loving care and attention seen by Napolean, produced in vats using ancient recipes and only the best ingredients. The result is a line of soaps that is extra pure, highly luxurious and greatly sought after. Is there any question why the Luxury Skin Shop would carry it?
L'Amande's soaps are crafted from the recipes of noted Marseille soapmaker Huilerie & Savonnerie de L'Amande. They are made without artificial colors or perfumes and are suitable for men and women of any age. Sensitive skin benefits greatly from the smooth, sensual soaps provided by L'Amande. To top it off, all L'Amande products are enriched with sweet almond oil.
L'Amande has made itself a tour de force in the soap world for almost three hundred years. We at the Luxury Skin Shop want you to entrusts your skin's health with that heritage.
About L'Amande
L'Amande as we know it today was born in 1956, when the ancient Gavarry soap works purchased the name and formula from one of the oldest soap works in the world - Huilerie & Savonnerie de L'Amande. Gavarry then proceeded to add complete product lines for hair care, pre and after shave, toning creams, sun creams, toothpastes and even bubble baths and talcum powders and today is a leader among soap producers. Gavarry specializes in both private label production and the development of its own brand names for the herbalist, pharmacist and perfumery. L'Amande remains one of their prized lines.
The L'Amande Boutique
The first single-brand L'Amande boutique is located right in the centre of Savona on a corner which perfectly joins the 19th century part of the city with the old Medieval quarter. This sophisticated showcase for the entire L'Amande line also sets its sights on sharing the knowledge on the ancient origins of soap, in which Savona plays an important historical role.
The L'Amande boutique also intends to promote small, but important artistic/cultural events tied to soap and its history, knowing that a material which is so old, yet so familiar to us, can serve as an inspiration to artists in search of new materials and new forms of expression. |
